Singing The Blues – You Know It Don’t Come Easy

They are musicians with charitable hearts, a sense of civic duty, and the ability to throw down a good song. There I would be talking in between Foreigner and Led Zeppelin songs and talking like anyone was really listening.

Ray Charles – One of the most recognizable names in entertainment, Ray Charles’ success was unparalleled. His version of “Georgia on my Mind” is instantly recognizable, he appeared in various movies, such as Blue Brothers, and even had a movie made about his life entitled Ray. While his life was plagued with addiction, blindness, and personal problems, his music stands the test of time. Unfortunately for this list, he was a prolific country and pop artist as well as a blues musician, and his blues songs do not compare with many other artists in this genre, landing Ray Charles the #10 spot.

Fast forward to the sixties; I had a brand new electric guitar and I was now playing quite a few Jimi Hendrix tunes, I also had a large record album collection to die for. I played successfully as a lead guitarist and vocalist in many Bands over the years, I lived my dreams. In the seventies I played Hendrix, Deep Purple, Steppenwolf, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Clapton, Santana, Felix Papalardi, Johnny Winter, Rory Gallagher, Roy Buchanan, early Fleetwood Mac, BB King, Ben E. King, and every good Blues Guitar Player I could find.

We can very easily judge Alamgir as the pioneer of audio marketplace who’s to begin with massive hit was “DEKHA NA THA KABHI HUM NAY YEH SUMMA”, and stays the song he is still most discovered with, though later songs these as “Yeh Shaam Aur Tera Naam” and “Mein Ne Tumhare Gagar Se Kabhi Pani” continued to include to his composition. Alamgir, it should be mentioned, laid the groundwork that plenty of other individuals utilised to break into the new music marketplace. He not only sang nicely, he was a performer in the genuine sense of the word. There is no denying Alamgir’s contribution to the evolution of the pop music genre in Pakistan.

I’ve been following Nico Vega’s music for some time now.their singer Aja Volkman is really incredible. I love her songwriting and voice, especially in the acoustic renditions of their songs. Warpaint is inspiring as being an awesome all-girl band playing these tribal rhythms. Radiohead makes it better to live on earth.

PB: No. My Dad had a bunch of different records but he did have one of Chet’s – “Finger Pickin’ Good”. I started listening to that one and really, really loved it. That’s the only Chet record that I had when I was a kid, and it was so over my head.

While all five CDs are excellent, listeners cheat themselves if they don’t see the band play live. Rarely can somebody find a band that rocks the house as well as Milo Z. He brings his dancing shoes and unique brand of music to life several times a month and the fans love him. There is nothing to compare him to in music. Once you see him live, you will always be a fan.

Last and certainly not least, I have scoured the Internet. I have reviewed nearly every online Guitar Course, to find a Musician and Teacher not unlike myself.
