Iowa has more stability with guys who have been there before. Iowa State basketball probably has more talent but lacks in proving they are capable of living up to the expectations.
On the football field Trice continued his tradition from high school and was an exceptional player on the defensive line. He played on the freshman team in 1922, and by the following year was considered by many to be all-conference caliber, with an extremely bright future ahead of him.

McCool was the cornerstone of wrestling coverage for probably about three decades. Every coach, wrestler, manager, parent or sibling associated with the sport knew McCool. He captured the respect of those in the wrestling community. McCool had a knack of finding good stories and blending it with a tremendous knowledge of the action on the mat.
