My Top Five Favorite Danny Boyle Movies

Saving Private Ryan is another movie that has to make my list. Now, keep in mind, Cher was the original pioneer long before Madonna. Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River and Gran Turino are some of his best movies.
Do you remember where you were in the summer of 1965? I’m taking a wild guess that most of you weren’t born yet. For those of us who were, I’m not as old as you think, I was 2 years old in 1965; don’t remember the summer of 1965 either. But music historians do, and Cher fans have become well acquainted with the time. She received her first #1 record then, “All I Really Want To Do.” This was long before the beaded Bob Mackie gowns, the sold-out concert tours, the worldwide smash hits, and film awards would come much later.

During our interview, Navarro, 55, talked about his intrigue with the moving picture, how his home country of Mexico helped develop his professional drive, and whether he thinks audiences today appreciate exactly what a cinematographer contributes to a film.

Audrey Hepburn went to New York at the age of 22 to star in the Broadway production of Gigi. In 1953, she starred opposite Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday for which she 12 years a slave awards years a slave awards for the Best Actress. She has won an Emmy and Golden Globe for her role on Law & Order: SVU.

The Family Man – This one has Tia Leone in it, so I watched it. It could be any movie that features the personification of your personal lust. By that I mean whatever leading lady or man you most desire. You can sublimate your sexual desires into physical effort, replacing heartbreak and alimony payments with cardiovascular health in the process!

Originally this was an extremely popular TV series running from 1966 to 1973. It was ahead of its time in many ways, including the high-tech gadgetry used on the show. This was one of my favorite TV shows growing up, because I absolutely loved the theme song composed by Lalo Schifrin. I use to love making up dance routines to it. In 1996 I was thrilled they made a movie version of “Mission Impossible” that I went to see the very day it opened.

One other movie that I will discuss is A Beautiful Mind. In my opinion, this is Howard’s best film yet, and I think most would agree on that. It came as little surprise when this movie won the Academy Award for Best Picture of the Year.
