In the USA, Mother’s Day was little bit inspired by the English Mother’s day. In his excitement Michael never thought to drive the truck up the trail to load the Buck. Free of the pressures of my day-to-day writing life.
The nation’s premier French-inspired festival, Bastille Days, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; is back with more “joie de vivre” than ever before, with four days of nonstop Parisian-style entertainment in Milwaukee’s Cathedral Square Park July 9-12. This year’ Bastille Days offers acclaimed mix of headliners featuring renowned local, regional and national talent like Tab Benoit, The Duhks, Robin Pluer, Yves Francois et Rocambu Jazz, and Paul Cebar Tomorrow Sounds, among many others. Fest-goers will also be treated to the sounds of roving street musicians, as well as the mazing sights of street artists and Cirque du Soleil-style performers.
While voltage converters are often necessary, there are some exceptions. Many cell phone chargers and laptop battery chargers are dual use. They have their own built-in transformers, so you can plug them into a 110v outlet at home or a 220v outlet in your Barcelona dorm room with no problem. Read the label to make sure. If the label says 110v-220v, you won’t need a voltage transformer to plug it in when you’re studying abroad.

Emmanuelle Alt, Editor-in-chief at Vogue Paris, who is rarely seen without a Balmain piece on, says “Forget trendy designer labels. Jeans, a sweater or a t-shirt worn under a jacket that seems welded to you. When it’s just right, when you don’t see the effort, its irresistible” (I guess it helps to know Christophe Decarnin).
Others will say fashion is the reason. Okay, if they were wearing long, tight dresses that showed their panty lines that may be a reason. But these girls are wearing no underwear in the middle of the day, with shorts and short skirts, while doing their ordinary every day business. To me, this is just craving attention in all the wrong ways.
My question to you is do you cook during a snow storm, if so, what do you cook? What foods warm you up and fill your house with the “good mother” smells? Inquiring minds want to know.
