There is a buzz in Cyclone land as CoachGreg McDermott heads into his fourth season. In the kitchen today with the Baker’s Dozen is the Iowa State head chef. There wouldn’t be a better time for OSU to reclaim Bedlam bragging rights.
The Utah Utes are 4-0, ranked No. 10 in the country in both polls and are off to their best start since 2008 when they marched all the way to the BCS, a Sugar Bowl win over Alabama.
Ejim had a very productive freshman season last season for the Cyclones. The Canadian put up 10.3 points and 6.7 rebounds for every game. He was only the 12th freshman in school history to record double figures. Despite his hefty production, Hoiberg thinks Ejim is going to be even much better this year. Ejim is more of a small forward, but was compelled to move down low last year thanks to the Cyclone’s lack of depth.

The Hawks are 5-3 in night games in Kinnick Stadium with wins coming against Penn State in 2010, Michigan in 2009, Syracuse in 2007, Arizona State in 2003 and Northern Illinois in 1999. The program also lost to Ohio State in 2006, Iowa State basketball in 2002 and Miami of Florida in 1992.
As we head into next season let’s take an inside look at what makes Coach McDermott tick. In the kitchen today with the Baker’s Dozen is the Iowa State head chef.
Why he is absent from the depth chart is a mystery right now but the fact is that Finch is only 5-7, 166 lbs. While he is explosive and exciting, he is not built to take punishment. He missed five games in 2010 due to injury and maybe head coach Bob Stoops wants to use the speedster as a change-of-pace back.
