September 11, 2011. Buglisi Dance Theatre presents "The Table of Silence Project 9/11" – a free public tribute and prayer for peace. It was conceived by Choreographer Jacqulyn Buglisi and Italian Artist Rossella Vasta
Over 100 dancers from various performing arts companies and schools participated in the performance at the Revson Fountain in Josie Robertson Plaza of Lincoln Center in New York City. (Metropolitan Opera in background, Avery Fisher Hall, home of NY Philharmonic is on the right; David H. Koch Theater, home of NY City Ballet is on left).
The performance started at 8:20 AM and ended at 8:46 AM, the time the first plane hit the World Trade Center in 2001. At 8:46 AM, performers and audience observed one minute of silence.
